Time is money

"Time is money." The old saying means that time, like a peice of gold, is very valuable. Of course, we all know that time is mmore valuable than money. For instance, the money which we lost we can earn again, but the time we have wasted which cannot be regained. Moreover, people can sometimes live without money, but nothing can be done without time.
Despite being so precious, time is often neglected by people. We should set our goal when we are young and use every moment to develop ourselves and to reach our goal.
Nowadays, many students go to school late. Spending most time in the internet. After they gradulate from schools, they often quit jobs. Many of them stay home and do't go to work. I do't like them.

Rainfall in Taiwan to become increasingly polarized

According the study, Taiwan's rainfall situation will become increasingly polarized. It means that rainfall will come less frequently in the dry season but more in the wet season.
The researcher called for the government to be more aggressive in anti-flood operations and water-resource management to minimize the posible disasters that may result from the polarized rainfall situations.
The report also indicated that the average annual temperationin Taiwan went up 1.4 degrees Celsius between 1911 and 2009. Based on relevant climate data, Taiwan's temperature will further go up 2 to 3 degrees by the end of the 21sr century.
Some forecast models adopted by the research team also indicated that the number of extremely high-temperature days in Taiwan will increase significantly, and that of extremely low-temperature days will decrease remarkably.
Once the frequency of high temperatures in the summer surges, the  Taiwan's energy utilization, health care programs and agricultural development will certainly be affected. Number of typhoons hitting Taiwan to trend downward. But the possibility for typhoons to strengthen will pick up.
The researcher called for the government and private sector to step up reduction of carbon emissions and actively seek and develop substitute energy products, so as to minimize damages caused by polarized climate changes.
Climate change not only occurs in Taiwan, but also occurs in other areas. We human beings should learn how to live with the nature.

The telephone

It would difficult to imagine our modern world without the invention and the advanced technology of the telephone. We should thankn Alexander Bell who invented the first telephone.
It has been an indispensable tool of communications, saving much time and travel be enabling people to talk to one another for personnel or business reasons reasons over great distances. The telephone also connects hearts and minds. It is emergencies that the telephone really provides its services. When there is a fire, or somebody need help, the first thing people do is to get the telephone and call for help.
When the mobile phones become popular, our lives become more convenient. Almost everyone has at least one mobile phone. Some people find them are influenced by the mobile phones. They check their mobile phones every few minutes. Some need to see the doctors.
When iPHONEs are in the market. The function of mobile phones increase. People use their mobile phones more often than before. I don't think it is good eventhough I have one iPHONE4.

On optism

If you look at things on the bright side, it will make your life happy and comfortable.
In the period of growth, people will meet many kinds of setbacks and frustrations. A successful person always keeps himself optimistic to overcome his problems. An optimistic person will make a lot of friends  because he enjoys all the cheerful objects and happy life. Most importantly, he will extend his feeling to others.
We must not expect things always to be as satisfactory as we have planned them to be. However, we should constantly keep an optismic mood.
Yesterday I failed my Tai Chi Chuan contest. I felt disappointed. I think I should practice more often before the next contest.

City life

I live in the city. I go to work by Taipei metro everyday. All commutors are always in a hurry. If people don't want to walk on the elevator, they will stand on the right side of the elevator. Or they stand on the left side of the elevator and walk. When the doors of the train open, the outsiders will automatically let the passengers in the train go out, then they enter the train. No one make the rule. The commuters make the rules automatically.
Sometimes I see some olds take the MRT during the rush hour. Other passengers sitting on the seat will immediately stand and invite the olds to sit. The old will thank them. People in Taiwan are so friendly.

Taiwan's nuclear energy policy

Taiwan's President Ma Ying-jeou said that the fourth nuclear power plant will replaced the first power plant in the future.
Because of Taiwan's geographical nature- surrounded by oceans and located inthe seismic zone - power generation is doomed to be challenging. But 99 percent of Taiwan's energy supply is imported. Taiwan is very difficult to become a nuclear-free homeland. Most people are impressed to the Fukushima nuclear catastrophe in Japan in March 2011.
I think the only way to make Taiwan become a nuclear-free homeland  is to save energy. Don't waste energy.

About speaking Japanese and singing Japanese songs

I saw NHK TV program on my Japanese class yesterday evening. It was a singing contest. Some contesters behaved formal, but didn't get high score. Some behaved out going, and they got high score. Those who sang well usually couldn't speak Japanese fluently. Those who spoke Japanese fluently usually sang not well. It's very interesting.
I am not good at speaking Japanese nor singing Japanese songs. My classmates told me the Japanese judges judged by their country's standard. I think he was right. In fact, most of contesters did very well.

If I have a business trip, I can take trains, high speed train to the underground. Or I can go to the airport via taking Teipei Metro. The disadvanteges is the environment is not good. It's noisy. The air is not good.

Umbrella

When I was a child, my mother always told me ‘Don’t go out during sunny day, or you will get sun burned.’ When I was an adult, I found almost all young ladies use umbrellas when they go outside. The umbrellas will prevent their skin get dark in the sunny day and prevent them get wet in the rainy day. Asian people like bright skin. We are told it is more important than beauty.

Effect of global worming

These days, Thailand has suffered floods at least three months. Some southern-eastern countries also face similar problems. Sometimes I want to know why. Is that because human beings destroy the nature? Is it the natural phenomenon? I don’t the answer. I only know human beings use too much natural resources. It’s far much than we need. I think we should take only we need. We should respect other lives on earth.

About learning foreign language

We are live in the global village. We have to learn foreign language. It is a hard work. I began learning English when I was a junior student. I began learning Japanese five years ago. I see English writing everyday. But, I can neglect them. Everyone says English is very import. But, I still live well if I don’t understand English at all. It is tricky.

Erawan Shrine temple in Taiwan

When we talk about the Erawan Shrine, our first impression is usually Thailand. There are also Erawan Shrine temples in Taiwan.
There is one Erawan Shrine temple near my home. It’s located at the opposite of one station of the Taipei Metro System.
You can see several believers in front of the Erawan Shrine temple any time everyday. People pray and kneel in front of the god. Some also prepare flowers.
Taiwan is a wonderful place. Almost all kinds of religion are appeared in Taiwan. No one cares about other’s religion. There is few conflict because of religion.

Chen-Style Tai Chi Quan

Doing Chen-Style Tai Chi Quan is my hobby. I go to the Tai Chi Quan class every Saturday and Sunday morning. Our master has taught it over 30 years. Some researchers have found doing Tai Chi Quan can prevent falling. I am still young. But I find doing Tai Chi Quan can make me pay more attention in jobs and studying.

Republic of China Centennial-publci health

The overthrow of the Qing Dynasty, followed by the founding of the Republic of China under the leadership of Sun Yat-Sen, encouraged nations all over Asia to follow the lead of the continent’s first democratic republic and establish democratic governments of their own. This has been a prominent contribution of the ROC to the world’s civilization and history, and is also a source of national pride for the people of Taiwan. The centenary of the Republic of China is an epochal event. The government has planned a series of celebrations to welcome this rare and important occasion.
Today, I attended one of the ceremonies. It’s about the public health. Many public servants and experts talked about the history of Taiwan’s health event. Some of them are very old. It was a warming symposium.

About Taiwan

Taiwan is an amazing place. It is surrounded by sea water. Several typhoons visit Taiwan in summer and autumn. But Taiwan’s people also suffer the .inconvenience of water shortage. I think that is because of its geography. Taiwan is a beautiful island.
